WHITEVILLE—Mozella Pridgen Shipman, 92, of 5640 Silver Spoon Road, Whiteville, died Friday, August 28, 2020, at her home.
She was the wife of the late William “Skeet” Shipman.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 5, on the grounds of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 5548 Silver Spoon Road, Whiteville, NC, by Dr. Timothy A. Lance. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Walk-thru viewing will be Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville.
Surviving are her daughters, Eunice Shipman Campbell (Carlton) of Whiteville, NC, Burma Shipman of Greensboro, NC, Lynette Johnson (Billy Joe) of Clarkton, NC, Mary Shipman-Lindsey (Rick) of Kernersville, NC, Helen Nesmith (LaVaughn) of Riegelwood, NC, Sheryl Nixon and Patricia Hines of Whiteville, NC; sons, Delmas Shipman (Karen) of Chadbourn, NC and Lawrence Shipman of Harwood, MD; adopted daughter, Phyllis Haynes (Kenneth) of Fayetteville, NC; sisters, Annie Catherine Pridgen of Fort Washington, MD; Geraldine Pridgen Boykin of Washington, DC; Barbara Brown (Clifton) of Landover, MD; and Linda Pridgen-Bluford of Staunton, VA.
