Obituary
WHITEVILLE—Bishop Odell McFarland, Jr., 76, of Whiteville died Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 28, at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters by Apostle Tracey Troy of Victory in Jesus Ministries. Burial will be in the Brunswick Memorial Gardens in Shallotte.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Headquarters Friday one hour prior to the service.
Surviving are his wife, Blanche Clarida McFarland; children, Julia Wright of Plainfield, IL, Odell McFarland, III of Chicago, IL, Jacquette McFarland-Smith of Moreno Valley, CA, Juanita Toudonou of Lockport, IL, Leslie McFarland of Woodridge, IL, and Adrian Gause of Waldorf, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family will graciously accept your other expressions of sympathy.
