WHITEVILLE—Prentiss Taylor, 70, of 929 Campground Road, Whiteville, NC, died Monday, October 13, 2025, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
The funeral, with military honors, will be 1:00 PM Sunday, October 19, at Central Baptist Church, 443 West Virgil Street, Whiteville, NC, by Pastor David Flowers. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and at the church Sunday 30 minutes prior to the service.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara McMillian Taylor; siblings, Donnell Taylor, Malikiah Taylor, and Judy Greene of Columbia, SC, Glendale Taylor of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ronnie Taylor of St. Petersburg, FL, and Janice Bryant of Loris, SC; stepchildren, Sharon Simmons and Edward Williamson of Whiteville, Larry McMillian of Greensboro, NC, Eddie McMillian of Garner, NC, Rodney Williamson of Bolton, NC, Joann Slappy and Janice Williamson-Washington of Wilmington, NC,
