FAYETTEVILLE, NC—Raymond Arthur Adams, 82, formerly of Evergreen, NC, died Thursday, May 08, 2025, at home.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Friday, May 16, at Mount Horeb AME Church, 187 Otis-Donnell Nixon Road, Evergreen, NC.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Community Cemetery.

Viewing will be at the church Friday 30 minutes prior to the service.

Surviving are his wife, Helen Evans Adams; daughters, Sheila Chestnut of Frederick, VA, Debra Ingram of Edgewood, MD, Antoinette Franklin of Fayetteville, NC, Cassandra Campbell and April Gadberry of Hope Mills, NC, and Kimberly Ross of Fayetteville, NC; sons, Tony Adams of Bowie, MD, Anthony Ray Adams of Columbus, OH, and Raymond Adams, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC.

Friends may visit the family at 3931 Dickens Avenue, Hope Mills, NC.
