NAKINA, NC—Roscoe Hemingway, 74, of 1029 Ramsey Ford Road, Nakina, NC, died Monday, February 8, 2021, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
A graveside service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 14, at George Washington Stanley Cemetery, 779 Ramsey Ford Road, Nakina, NC, by Rev. Virgil Ward, eulogist; and Pastor Mack Reid of Zion Plain Missionary Baptist Church.
Walk-thru viewing will be Saturday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville.
Surviving are his wife, Estelle Stanley Hemingway; children, Felicia Hemingway of Rolesville, NC, Clifton Baldwin of Charlotte, NC, and Diane Shipman of Whiteville, NC; stepdaughter, Denita McNeil of the home; mother, Thelma Ward of Whiteville, NC; sisters, Evelyn Rorie (Bobby) and Ruth Nadine Ward of Whiteville, NC; brother, Tony Ward (Priscilla) of Whiteville, NC.
