WHITEVILLE—Ruth Edith Moore James, 90, of 45 Powell Acres Drive, Whiteville, died Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.

The funeral will be 12:00 PM Saturday, August 13, at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road, Whiteville, by Pastor Anthony Rowell of New Mount Zion Baptist Church.  Burial will be in the Cherry Grove Cemetery.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the Headquarters Saturday one hour prior to and following the service.

Surviving are her daughters, Mary McCoy of Pinewood, SC, Rose James Jackson of Hinesville, GA, Shirley Smith of Burlington, NC, Ruth Haywood of Chadbourn, NC, and Linda Singletary of the home; son, Jeffery James of Spartanburg, SC.
