WHITEVILLE—Ruth Alena Faison McKenzie, 85, of Whiteville, died Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, August 22, on the lawn across the street from Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 5548 Silver Spoon Road, Whiteville, NC, by Pastors Dr. Timothy A. Lance and Anthony Rowell. Burial will be in the Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Walk-thru viewing will be Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Peoples Funeral Chapel.
Surviving are her husband, Starlin McKenzie; daughters, Phyllis Cromartie of Nakina, NC, Thomasina McKenzie and April McKenzie of Fayetteville, NC, and Rosemary Bowser of Charlotte, NC; sons, Starlin McKenzie, Jr. of Elizabethtown, NC, Ardell McKenzie of Goldsboro, NC, Donnell McKenzie of Charlotte, NC, and Chester McKenzie of the home; sisters, Yvonne Scipio of Whiteville, NC and Margaret Torrence of Seattle, WA.
