WHITEVILLE—Sally Mae Odom McCollum, 75, of Whiteville, died Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.

The funeral will be 3:00 PM Saturday, May 30, at Jerusalem Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 6224 Chadbourn Highway, Chadbourn, NC, by Pastor Eric McCollum.  Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery.

Viewing will be at the church Saturday 30 minutes prior to and following the service.

Surviving are her husband, Hector McCollum, Jr.; sons, Derrick McCollum, Eric McCollum, Perry McCollum, and Terry McCollum of Whiteville; sisters, Katie Jordan and Peggy Odom Gillespie of Fayetteville, NC; brother, Frank Odom and Thurman Odom of Whiteville, and James Odom of Stoneville, NC.
