HALLSBORO—Saundra Ann Powell, 65, of 3468 Hallsboro Road North, Hallsboro, died Tuesday, June 12, at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD.
She was the daughter of the late Harry Sylvester Powell and Lillie Jane Powell.
The funeral will be 12:00 PM Saturday, June 23, at Mount Hebron AME Zion Church, 570 Red Bug Road, Hallsboro, by Bishop Staccato Powell, eulogist, and Pastor Donald Mapson. Burial, with Dove Ceremony, will be in the Hallsboro Memorial Park.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Friday from 2:00 to 7:00 PM and at the church Saturday one hour prior to and following the service.
Surviving are her sons, Mario Powell of Clarksville, MD and Dedric A. Powell of Pittsboro; daughter, Ashley Powell of Elkridge, MD; brothers, Ronald Spencer Powell of McLeansville, Staccato Powell of Granite Bay, CA, and Thaddeus Keith Powell of Upper Marlboro, MD; and six grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family at 677 Pone Hill Road, Hallsboro.
