BOLTON, NC—Shadney Prince “Butch” Lendon, III, 74, of 43 Powell Street, Bolton, NC, died Saturday, September 13, 2025, at home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 19, at Greater Bolton Church of God in Christ, 150 South Blacksmith Road, Bolton, NC, by Pastor Shawn Maynor. Burial, with military honors, will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 9, at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Friday 30 minutes prior to and following the service.
Surviving are his daughters, Shalena Bland of Atlanta, GA, Latisha Lendon of Bolton, NC; son, Avis Lendon of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Marva Wilson of Leland, NC.
