WHITEVILLE—Sharon Vernell Brown, 72, of 150 Beautiful Lane, Whiteville, NC, died Sunday, August 3, 2025, at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, August 9, at The New Townsend Temple Ministries, 273 Smith Lane, Bolton, NC.  Burial will be in the Smith Family Cemetery.

Viewing and visitation with the family will be at the church Saturday 30 minutes prior to the service.

Surviving are her sisters, Brenda Pender of Bolivia, NC, Gwendolyn Dacons of Statesville, NC, and Deborah Brown of Atlanta, GA; and brother, Lofton Brown of Bolton, NC.
