BOLTON, NC—Shirley Ann Spearman Johnson, 81, of Bolton, NC, died Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Shoreland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, June 20, at Lee’s Chapel AME Zion Church, 42 Blacksmith Road, Bolton, NC by Rev. Dr. Florence S. Brown, eulogist and Pastor Avery McCallister. Burial will be in Restwell Cemetery #1.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Saturday 30 minutes prior to and following the service.
Surviving are her husband, Willie L. Johnson; daughter, Shantel D. Kemp of Bolton, NC; sons, Clyde L. Hill, Jr. of Texas, Roderick D. Hill of Bolton, NC, Shawn E. Johnson of Lumberton, NC, and Dale D. Johnson of Hallsboro, NC; sister, Florence S. Brown; brothers, John P. Spearman and Norman J. Spearman of Bolton, NC; stepchildren, Willie Johnson, Jr. and Deborah Johnson of Washington, DC, and Teresa Williams of Goldsboro, NC.
