DETROIT, MI—Shirley Alfreda Rhodes Brown, 84, of Detroit, MI, died Sunday, November 12, 2023, at her sister’s home in Council, NC.

The funeral will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 21, at Tabernacle Holiness Church, 549 Youngstown Road, Riegelwood, NC, by Elder Dr. Pearly Hoskins.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

Surviving are her son, James Darnell Brown of Michigan; sister, Angelia Rhodes of Council, NC; brother, Nick Rhodes, Jr. of Wilmington, NC.
