WHITEVILLE—Swannie Barden Lennon, 81, of Whiteville, died Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.
The funeral will be 12:00 Noon Friday, January 16, at Saint Bethel Baptist Church, 456 Old Lumberton Road, Whiteville, NC, by Pastor Gregory Hewett. Burial will be in the Kelly Cemetery in Bladenboro, NC.
Viewing will be at the funeral home Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Friday following the service.
Surviving are her daughter, Anna Godfrey of Durham, NC; mother, Viola Barden of the home; sisters, Mary Hawkins and Georgia Howard of Whiteville.
