WHITEVILLE—Sylvia Mae Baldwin Smith-Burton, 76, of 101 Jones Place, Whiteville, NC, died Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 26, at Peoples Funeral Chapel by Rev. David Flowers.  Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday 30 minutes prior to the service.

Surviving are her son, André Smith of Fayetteville, NC; sister, Cynthia Baldwin of Washington, DC; brother, Franklin Baldwin of Clinton, MD.
