WHITEVILLE—Veda Louise Stanley Thompson, 75, of Whiteville, died Saturday, December 9, 2023, at home.

The funeral will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 14, at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2871 Chadbourn Highway, Whiteville, by Bishop Emanuel Cooper.  Burial will be in the Restwell Cemetery #1.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Thursday following the service.

Surviving are her sons, Patrick Orlanda Lennon of Central Islip, NY and Demonrick Tobias Lennon of Dunn, NC; sisters, Helen Pittman and Paula Richardson of Whiteville; brothers, Ben A. Stanley, Jr. of Whiteville and Chris Brown of Clarkton, NC.
