CHADBOURN, NC—Wendell Theodore Singletary, 69, of 552 Grist Road, Chadbourn, NC, died Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 5, at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road, Whiteville.  Burial, with military honors and Masonic rites, will be in the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery #2.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the funeral Wednesday following the service.

Surviving are his wife, Tangela M. Singletary; son, Wendell Singletary, Jr. of Savannah, GA; stepchildren, Damarick McKvian and Tiara McKvian of Tabor City, NC; sister, Barbara Yates-Lockamy of Whiteville; brothers, his twin, Cornell Singletary of Whiteville, Alexander Singletary of Chadbourn, NC, Danny K. Singletary of Whiteville, Reginald Singletary of Burlington, NC, and Rodney Singletary of Chadbourn, NC.
