COUNCIL, NC—Wilbert Lennon, 76, of 2359 Boggy Branch Road, Council, NC, formerly of Whiteville, NC, died Sunday, November 1, 2020, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
A graveside service will be 1:00 PM Friday, November 6, at New Hope Community Cemetery, Sarah Peterson Road, Council, NC, by Pastor Wendy McKoy of Shady Grove AME Zion Church, Council, NC.
Walk-thru viewing will be Friday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Shady Grove AME Zion Church, 1060 Microwave Tower Road, Council, NC.
Surviving are his wife, Varian Freeman Lennon; daughter, Christina Lennon of Huntersville, NC; sons, Wilbert Lennon, Jr., Harris Leon Lennon, and Christopher Lennon of Greensboro, NC; and nephew, Larnell Lennon of Raleigh, NC.
