LAKE WACCAMAW, NC—Wilbert Lee Spaulding, 73, of Lake Waccamaw, NC, died Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 2, at Rehobeth AME Zion Church, 475 Rehobeth Church Road, Clarkton, NC, by Pastor Harrison Branch.  Burial will be in the Mitchell Field Cemetery.

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Saturday 30 minutes prior to and following the service.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine Mitchell Spaulding; daughters, Elizabeth Wilson of Clarkton, NC and Christy Brown of Lithonia GA; son, Wilbert Spaulding, Jr. of Orrum, NC; sisters, Gwendolyn Griffin of Fayetteville, NC, Geraldine Rorie of Winston-Salem, NC, and Marie Adams of Clarkton, NC; brothers, Lemuel Spaulding, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, George Spaulding of Albuquerque, NM, Carlton Spaulding of Peachtree City, GA, and Clifton Spaulding of Winston-Salem, NC.
