WHITEVILLE—William Allen Drayton, 84, of 352 Stewart Circle, Whiteville, died Friday, March 18, 2022, at his home.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 26, at Love Grove Free Will Baptist Church, 1763 Millie-Christine Road, Whiteville, by Rev. James L. Smith.  Burial will be in the Chestnut Cemetery

Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Saturday one hour prior to the service.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Chestnut Drayton; daughter, Joyce Hatcher of Whiteville; sons, Willie Drayton of Pennsylvania, Vincent Drayton and Robert Drayton of Whiteville, Michael Drayton and Jeffrey Drayton of New Jersey; sisters, Willie Mae McKoy, Macie Swindell, Gracie Powell, Shirley Jones, Veora Holland, and Drucilla Smith; brothers, Floyd Drayton and Leon Drayton of Pennsylvania, and Horace Drayton of Clarkton, NC.
