WHITEVILLE—William Hampton, 79, of 408 West Lewis Street, Whiteville, NC, died Saturday, January 4, 2025, at home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
The funeral will be 12:00 PM Friday, January 10, at Antioch First Born Church, 187 Diamond Branch School Road, Whiteville, NC. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Cherry Grove Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Friday following the service.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda L. Hampton; daughter, Inetha Hampton of Whiteville; sisters, Janie Knight of Connecticut, Caroline Jenkins and Dorothy Hampton of Massachusetts; and brother, Preston Hampton of Connecticut.
