WHITEVILLE—Willie Gene George, 74, of 1299 Sunset Terrace, Whiteville, NC, died Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.

The funeral will be 12:00 PM Saturday, December 7, at Spring Hill Baptist Church, 2871 Chadbourn Highway, Whiteville, NC, by Rev. John Langley.  Burial will be in the Little Prong Cemetery in Ash, NC.

Viewing will be at the church Saturday 30 minutes prior to the service.

Surviving are his wife, Hilda B. George; children, Jamaal Rashad George of Longs, SC, Wakenia Denise George of Leland, NC, and Jay Keith George of Petersburg, VA; brothers, Larry Jackson of Whiteville and Jimmy Best of National Harbor, MD; sister, Barbie Best of Griffin, GA.

In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to the Willie Gene George Scholarship Fund and mail to the home address.
